What is your sports & fitness background: I played a lot of different sports growing up. In 2008 I found CrossFit and never went back to any traditional sport. By 2013 I had met an olympic weightlifting coach and fell in love with the sport. I’ve been training now as a weightlifter for 2 1/2 years and have never looked back!
How did you first get exposed to CrossFit: A fraternity brother challenged me to give it a try one day!
What was your first WOD: Weighted pull ups 1rm.
How did it go: Piqued my interest!
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health, and fitness since starting CrossFit: My general physical readiness skyrocketed. I began looking for things to jump on or climb in an attempt to create a WOD from the experience.
What impact has CrossFit had on your life: It completely changed how I see exercise and fitness.
What is your advice for people just getting started CrossFit: Take it slow and listen to your body.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of CrossFit and does CrossFit help with those: Video games and music.
